How Single & Multiple Dental Implants Work

Planning

We take a CBCT 3D scan, photos, and impressions to design your new smile and create a surgical guide.

Placement

Dr. Meeker gently places the implant in the ideal position. In select cases an immediate temporary may be possible; otherwise a small healing cap is placed.

Healing

After healing (typically 3–4 months), we deliver your custom final bridge (zirconia or hybrid) for a strong, natural look.

Final Restoration

We take digital impressions and deliver a custom abutment and ceramic crown, or a short bridge when replacing multiple adjacent teeth. Your bite is finely adjusted for comfort.

Is Dental Implant
Right for Me?

If you’re missing one tooth, several teeth, or have a damaged tooth that can’t be saved, a dental implant can replace the root and support a natural‑looking crown or bridge. Compared with traditional bridges or partials, implants do not rely on neighboring teeth and help preserve jawbone and facial structure. Most healthy adults qualify after a 3D scan and exam — even with some bone loss.

Your Questions about Single And Multiple Tooth Replacement, Answered.

How long does a dental implant last?

With excellent care and regular maintenance visits, implants can last decades.

Will my crown match my other teeth?

Yes. We customize shade, shape, and texture for a seamless blend.

What if I have been told I do not have enough bone?

Many patients still qualify with grafting or alternative positioning. Your CBCT scan will guide the plan.

Is the procedure painful?

Most patients are surprised by how comfortable it feels. Over the counter medication typically manages post op tenderness.

What about replacing two or three teeth in a row?

Often we can use two implants to support a 3 unit bridge, avoiding a removable partial denture.

Can I get a same day tooth?

In select situations, an immediate temporary may be possible. Predictability and long term success guide our recommendation.

Scan-to-Crown Engineering: Imaging, Abutments, Ceramics

Your implant is not a one size part. We design every case around your anatomy and smile goals. We pair CBCT bone mapping with intraoral digital scans to measure bone width, nerve position, and soft tissue contours. A custom titanium or zirconia abutment is crafted to support a healthy emergence profile. The final crown is selected by site: layered esthetic ceramics such as e.max for front teeth and high strength monolithic ceramics for chewing efficiency in molars. When needed, we use micro grafting with collagen membranes to maintain tissue shape and long term stability.

What Happens
on Surgery Day

  • Quick check in followed by a final shade check and digital scan.
  • Local anesthetic keeps the area fully comfortable. Most single tooth placements take about an hour.
  • When possible we use a flapless punch approach for faster healing. If a small flap is required, resorbable sutures are placed.
  • You will leave with a healing cap or an esthetic temporary for front teeth when appropriate, plus clear do and do not instructions and a same day follow up text.
